About MEAN Stack

MEAN Stack Course

Master the MEAN stack and ship full stack apps with Angular

MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node.js: JavaScript and TypeScript from the browser to the database. Build real projects and put them online.

Runs JavaScript on the server.

One language family, four tools. A click in Angular calls an Express route on Node, which reads or writes MongoDB and sends JSON back.

01 · The basics

What is the MEAN stack?

It is a set of four tools built on JavaScript that together cover every layer of a web app. Here is how one user action moves through them.

01

User clicks in Angular

A component reacts and calls a service.

02

Request reaches Express

A route on your API receives and checks it.

03

Node runs your logic

Server code applies rules, login and validation.

04

MongoDB saves or finds data

Documents are stored or read from collections.

05

JSON returns to Angular

The screen updates with fresh data.

02 · Benefits

Why learn MEAN

B01

One language family

Learn JavaScript and TypeScript once and use them across the whole stack.

B02

Structured by design

Angular gives you routing, forms, services and testing out of the box.

B03

Enterprise friendly

Large companies favor Angular for big, long-lived applications.

B04

Real projects

Build apps with login, APIs and databases for your portfolio.

B05

Type safety

TypeScript catches mistakes early, before users ever see them.

B06

Many paths

Move into front end, back end, full stack or enterprise roles.

!
Good to know

Employers look for working projects and clear explanations. Build things, push them to Git and practice describing your choices.

03 · Your journey

Your learning as a commit history

Six stages, each ending with something you can run and show.

a1f3c2e

feat: learn JavaScript and TypeScript

Variables, functions, ES6 features and the types that Angular relies on.

b72d9a4

feat: build screens with Angular

Components, templates, directives, routing, forms and services.

c4e18b7

feat: create APIs with Express and Node

Routes, middleware and server logic that send and receive JSON.

d90a3f1

feat: store data in MongoDB

Design documents, query data and connect it to your server.

e5b6c08

feat: add login and security

Accounts, JWT tokens, route guards and safe handling of user data.

f3a7d92

07 · FAQ

Questions people ask

Do I need coding experience?

No. The course starts with JavaScript basics and builds up step by step.

What is the difference between MEAN and MERN?

MEAN uses Angular for the front end, while MERN uses React. Angular is a full framework with more built in, and the rest of the stack is the same.

Do I need to know TypeScript first?

No. Angular uses TypeScript, and the course teaches it after the JavaScript basics.

Why MongoDB instead of an SQL database?

MongoDB stores flexible documents, while SQL databases use tables. Both are useful, and the course explains when to choose each.

Will I build projects?

Yes. You build and deploy apps you can show in your portfolio.

Do I need data structures and algorithms too?

They help in technical interviews. Many learners pair this course with a separate DSA course.
